Keep Your Vehicle Running Longer in Budd Lake NJ

Keeping your vehicle running like new for as long as possible is an important task for any driver. It allows you to save money in the long term as well as avoid quite a few headaches! There are several ways to keep your vehicle running longer, and we want to make sure you have access to as many of them as we can! Continue reading to see three of the important vehicle maintenance tips we’ve highlighted for you!

1. Change Your Filters Often

Your car’s oil and air filters become clogged over time, and as such, they should be replaced as often as manufacturers recommend. They are both generally replaced as a part of routine servicing, but the importance of these replacements shouldn’t be understated. They can dramatically prolong the life of your vehicle by ensuring proper air and fuel flow. Also, make sure you get the best quality filters when you’re replacing them to ensure longer lifespans.

2. Drive as Smoothly as Possible

Just because you can gun your acceleration and push your engine to the limit, going from 0-60 in less than five seconds, doesn’t mean you should. Driving smoothly can reduce the wear and tear on your vehicle dramatically, letting you get more miles out of both your fuel tank and your vehicle!

3. Top Off Fluids Regularly

Fluids like oil and coolant are the lifeblood of your vehicle, keeping it running longer and further! Failing to replace them can have dire consequences on your vehicle, dramatically lowering its lifespan. Dark and dirty oil should be replaced near immediately, and you should make sure your coolant has the proper mixture of distilled water and antifreeze – 50% for each. Doing these things will keep your vehicle running longer and without issue.

These are just some things you can do to keep your vehicle running in the best possible condition! There are many things you can do outside of this. To learn more about vehicle maintenance, or to see what vehicles we offer, contact our dealership today!
