What’s new for the 2017 Kia Sportage
The 2017 Kia Sportage has received its fair share of changes. In fact for the 2017 model year, it’s a whole new design. The looks have improved, but what else is new for the 2017 Kia Sportage? You’ll have to read below to find out.
Kia Sportage exterior design changes
As you can see, the front has been made more aggressive with the lines on the iconic Kia tiger nose grille becoming more sharp, angular, and pronounced. The headlights have been moved up and their new stretched lines make the 2017 Sportage look like it’s moving even when it’s standing still.
The side profile is also improved with gorgeous window curves and a higher rear roofline that adds some excitement and some cargo room.
New features for the 2017 Kia Sportage
Not only has the outside been redesigned, but so has the underlying structure. For 2017, the Sportage has a more rigid design with a new suspension that allows the Sportage to outshine competitors when it comes to handling.
For the first time, the Kia Sportage will receive the latest UVO3 infotainment system. This system not only features a slick interface with access to a plethora of Kia features, but it also has full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability.
For the 2017 model year, the Sportage has made some efficiency gains as well. The 2016 Sportage offered an impressive 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg out on the highway, but somehow the 2017 Sportage improved on that with 23 mpg in the city and an astounding 30 mpg out on the highway.
On top of all that, the interior room has been increased in nearly every way. If you want more legroom in the front or the back, you got it. Need more cargo space, the 2017 Sportage offers 129.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Are you tall and looking for more headroom, then you have that too, again both in front and in the back. There is even more hip and shoulder room to be had.
